My Teaching Philosophy

Today's technology can enhance students' learning experience if it is used as an additional reinforcement rather than a replacement for teaching. Education has evolved immensely over the last few decades, and educators and future teachers use digital products to teach students. Technology gives teachers a wider variety of tools to help students learn and retain information and skills in a fun and interactive way. We can all agree that technology can and will enhance the student's learning experience, but there needs to be guidance. Someone who will facilitate and monitor learning to clear up misconceptions and keeps students focused. As a future Early Childhood Teacher, I believe it's important to keep up to date on new information. I will always try to incorporate new innovations into my classroom and modify my approach to find the best ways to relate the material to my future students and keep them engaged. Using technology in the classroom can provide practical, interactive, ready-to-use lessons and activities to help them develop a positive attitude toward learning. I honestly believe that students will seem to learn better and will be more interested in the lesson when technology is incorporated into their learning experience. In today's generation, everyone is already interacting with technology in some type of way. Kids are using their tables/parents' phones to play games, young adults are messaging people, using social media, etc. Technology is an essential part of everyone's life. I honestly believe it would be more beneficial to teach students using technology which most are comfortable with; instead of the clichéd methods that have been used for years. Before taking this class I never thought of using/incorporating technology in my future classroom, I honestly thought I'll be teaching the clichéd methods that have been used for years. After taking this classic believe students should be taught to use technology in some type of way. It doesn't have to be big in my opinion, any type of way of integrating technology is good. PowerPoint, discussion boards, creative computer programs, incorporating videos into my lesson plans, using digital games, etc, are good ways I would integrate technology into my future classroom. I would make sure to incorporate technology in my lesson plan to keep my future students engaged. Technology is an amazing way that provides students with the opportunities to relate to the content. As a future teacher one day, my responsibility would be to guide and stimulate curiosity and interest in my future students and push them toward problem-solving and scientific inquiry with the help of necessary technology.
